EU defence goes to the heart of what is at stake in the EU referendum - June 22 2016

A deep dishonesty has always been at the heart of the British establishment’s case for the EU.  Edward Heath promised “there would be no erosion of essential national sovereignty”.  Harold Wilson claimed “decisions can be taken only if all the members of the Council agree”.  John Major promised Maastricht “addressed and corrected….the very centralising tendency that many are so worried about.”  The government today pretend, “We have a veto on all EU defence matters”.  This is just completely and utterly untrue.
